davidoff-128 May 2012 21:46Hello everyone,
I'm at my wit's end because even after consulting the manufacturer, I still don't understand why the white opal (plastic) cover of the mirror cabinet light causes quite loud noises for about 10 minutes, a kind of "rattling" sound. The mirror cabinets are new, and we even replaced the covers. Still, the very disturbing noise persists. Does anyone have experience with this or know who I can contact?
Alternatively: new mirror cabinets from another manufacturer, which would cost around 1500 CHF again. :-(
Best regards
Stefan

try replacing the starter for the fluorescent tube (if the mirror cabinet has one installed).
The "crackling" noise may be caused by static electricity; there might be an issue with the wiring of the built-in light fixture.
If you are not on site to hear the noise or see the switch-on process yourself, it is difficult to diagnose. Perhaps an electrician should check the wiring.
