Hi everyone,

I am looking for a leaf filter/basket or similar for a downpipe (also DIY solutions are fine, as long as they work) that is quick and easy to clean or replace. It should not require any changes or cutting to the existing pipe (there are plenty of such solutions available on Amazon, for example). My downpipe has a maintenance opening, and I would like to manage or install the filter through that.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

It might be more practical to clamp a debris filter screen at the inlet of the downpipe. Just try searching for debris filter screen downpipe.

Unfortunately, I no longer have access to that.

How should I understand that?

What does your maintenance access look like then?

I could still reach it, but only with a very tall ladder on one side, and on the roof terrace, the starting point is under the slabs on pedestals.
The maintenance access is a small round opening in the downpipe that can be opened or flipped up.
