Hello to all experienced members,
My family and I are looking for reliable solid construction home builders, preferably close to Berlin in eastern Brandenburg.
We already own a plot of land and are ready to build from the ground up. We have had some discussions so far and are currently undecided between larger and smaller companies. Do you have any good recommendations?
Also, any feedback on companies like Helma or Massivhaus.One would be helpful. These are our current favorites—one large, one small!??

Since it’s only about 50km (30 miles) to the Polish border, you could basically count everything in between as East Brandenburg.
In my opinion... nothing more and nothing less.Bonava is currently constructing a multi-family building just 50m (55 yards) from us here in Berlin. The masonry work is done by Slovak workers, the heating system is installed by a company from Spreenhagen, about which I haven’t heard anything positive, and what annoys me the most is the parking situation due to parking bans, which has been a problem for over a year. So, they’ve lost my trust. 😉S

I can now give a first summary of our shell construction (ground floor and mezzanine are in place), located east of Berlin near Fürstenwalde. He builds a lot for the ARGE Haus group. (I have separate contracts for each trade and no general contractor). The shell builder was recommended to me by the neighbor (a roofer) and I would recommend him as well. I sometimes test his patience, and it’s not always easy for him, but we still work very well together. So, if anyone is interested, feel free to get in touch, and I will share his contact details from Rauen. :-)

I can relate to your back and forth between “large” and “small” – we faced a similar decision about a year ago. In the end, it was more important for us that all trades were coordinated from a single source, because that saves the most stress in solid construction, especially when delays occur.
