Good evening,
Our general contractor offers us the geothermal heat pump system with decentralized supply air and centralized exhaust air only.
Is there really no other option, or does he just want to sell it to us this way?
We actually don’t want decentralized supply air because that means having those fans in the walls everywhere, which we simply don’t like.
Thanks in advance.

By the way, where is your project located, and are there any regional threads here? We are from Essen 🙂 I built on the opposite side of the Rhine in 2014/2015 and am now doing a full renovation of a two-family house for myself (also here in the Lower Rhine region). First with a central controlled residential ventilation system and now with a decentralized version.
A neighbor, how nice 🙂 We also completely renovated a two-family house, but as already mentioned, the topic of controlled ventilation systems is not really relevant yet since we are still in the early planning stages, including the building permit / planning permission. My better half is a building services engineer specializing in automation and a KNX trainer, so practically EVERYTHING has been tried out before, and here too, the line between what makes sense and what doesn’t is quite narrow 😉
