Hello, we are currently planning our new build. We are choosing a gas heating system with solar support for domestic hot water. Would you also consider solar support for space heating?
Would you also connect a hydronic fireplace?

Knowledge about house construction is about the same as that of most building laypeople here.

That is not decisive, because the construction specifications I have were created by the licensor, and I should be able to assume that the parent company has sufficient expertise...

the "if/then" conditions will probably be found in the fine print

That makes more sense to me – but how would that look specifically? Would the fine print say that the house has to be fitted with a different heating system if the building permit / planning permission is denied due to an energy calculation error? It’s hard to imagine, isn’t it? Especially if this is prepared nationwide and hundreds of homeowners end up stuck because of it?

@Thorsten
I can only repeat:
There will be a solar domestic hot water system with two panels installed.
The external wall is 24cm (9.5 inches) aerated concrete without additional insulation.
The roof apparently will be insulated quite extensively.
Controlled ventilation is mandatory, but only a very simple, decentralized system (Lunos ego).

I don’t think we can resolve this disagreement – strictly speaking, it doesn’t really belong to the main topic of this thread anymore. If I decide to pursue this, I will have the building contract carefully reviewed and specifically point out this issue. As I said, I also believe that it is not acceptable.

@Ölschlamm: From my point of view and perception, we don’t have any points of disagreement.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Best regards, Thorsten

Oh, I expressed myself a bit awkwardly there. I meant rather controversial, in the sense that it actually shouldn’t be the case – as we both assume – but the general contractor claims otherwise.
