Could someone please explain what it means in my building specification when it says "1 outlet below switch"? Does that mean the outlet is directly below the switch, or could it also mean the outlet is installed 30cm (12 inches) above the floor, below the switch?

Directly underneath.

Directly underneath. This is probably due to the vacuum cleaner plug.

Of course, you can choose that yourself.

Directly underneath. No choosing involved.

It depends on the general contractor/electrician. It could mean directly below or 30cm (12 inches) below, and it may also mean that you can choose the position in this case.

In that sense, it could be anything, and the matter requires prior clarification and documentation with the general contractor/electrician.
