Hello everyone 🙂 I’m quite new here and happy to have finally found a forum that seems to be dedicated solely to IKEA.

So, about our plans: we want to buy an IKEA kitchen (Bodbyn ivory white, METOD base units).

3D kitchen with wooden countertop, sink, stove, and refrigerator

This is how it should look.
Here are my questions: I don’t want IKEA electrical appliances but plan to order and have them delivered, for example, from OTTO. How does that work with the dimensions? Sometimes there’s a difference of 0.4mm and so on. Can I replace all appliances with others?

The microwave and oven?
What about the ceramic cooktop?
Which front works for the dishwasher, or will the dimensions match?
I know many will shake their heads that the sink is right next to the cooktop, but that’s what I’m used to, and I don’t want to reduce the large workspace on the long L side.

Which companies do you recommend for a kitchen like this?

If you have any other tips for me, please let me know.
Otherwise, many thanks in advance 🙂

Best regards,
Tina

Take a look at my pictures; I have the same kitchen.
Maybe you can get some ideas from them.
Usually, cabinets from other brands also fit into the cupboards.

Hello, I recommend using appliances mainly from Miele, the extractor hood from Berbel, and the fridge/freezer from Liebherr.
For the dishwasher, you need to make sure that a front panel 80 cm (32 inches) high can be installed. This information can be found in the installation diagrams of the appliance.

Thank you very much for that. Which are the highest quality, reliable brand ovens, microwaves, and cooktops that would fit in there?
