According to our electrician, a mandatory annual functional test of smoke detectors by a professional company will soon be required. The electrician’s fee would be 45 € (about 48 USD). Does anyone know anything about this?
In our condominium association, this is how it works: Once a year, each owner inspects the smoke detectors in their apartment (the ones in common areas such as hallways are checked by the electrician) and reports the inspection date informally by email to the property manager. That’s it.
