JanBau92Hello dear homeowners,
I hope this is the right section; if not, please feel free to move it.
We are taking over my in-laws’ house and have the situation that there are two different types of roller shutters:
1. Roller shutters with motor and switch
2. Classic roller shutters with a pull strap
For one roller shutter, the motors need to be replaced, so I essentially need three different components, all of which should be controllable via the same app:
1. Roller shutter motor
2. Roller shutter switch (to retrofit where the motor will not be replaced)
3. Roller shutter strap winder (to retrofit those without a motor)
Point 1 can, of course, be “left out” and the switch replaced there as well.
The goal is for all roller shutters to be controllable via one app.
I hope I have described this clearly enough.
Best regards,
JanBau92

Well, you would need to choose one system and then replace everything so that it works together, and that’s quite a lot.
Why do you want to keep the manual straps instead of simply replacing them with motors as well?
The easiest solution is to replace all the switches with ones that offer remote control via an app, or to equip the existing switches with additional drivers, for example Shelly, so that they can operate the motors and you can control them through the app.
