Hello everyone,

I recently watched a YouTube video from Smartest Home about the new funding program for smart home integration in new constructions (also existing buildings). Has anyone dealt with this before? I find the topic of funding somewhat difficult to understand. Apparently, you can claim up to €50,000. I would like to have a KNX system installed in my single-family house, which is not built yet, but so far I haven't allocated much budget for KNX. How can I solve this problem?

Best regards,
Stefan

We submitted the application on February 1st.

About 1.5 months roughly. I'm curious, we did it similarly to you. Included everything that has any connection to the heating system or its efficiency.

I also have a question on this topic:

We have finally found a heating engineer who can install an air-to-water heat pump with an annual performance factor (APF) greater than 4.5. The electrical installation, including KNX, will naturally be done by the electrician.

I assume it doesn’t matter that the eligible costs come from two different companies?

It doesn’t matter, just submit all invoices afterward. Make sure the services are described exactly so that their relevance to the heating system can be verified. You also need proof of commissioning a heat pump inspection after 1 year.

Hello everyone,
who has had any smart home components approved by BAFA?

We have had the KNX system in its basic configuration, as well as additional control components and visualization plus installation costs, fully approved. Both the invoices from the electrician and the construction company, as well as the components I procured myself from online stores, were recognized. Own work was, of course, not approved, nor did we claim it.
