Hello everyone,

When managing a single-family house, many contracts related to the home need to be arranged, and it’s easy to lose track quickly. In my case, I organize my property using Excel and paper files, regularly updating the costs. I would like to know how you optimize your expenses, manage contracts, and generally keep track of all appointments (heating system maintenance, waste collection, payments) related to your home, and whether you think using an app makes sense?

I look forward to your feedback 🙂

Let me guess... you happen to want to sell one of those things? For 30-50€ per year, I certainly wouldn’t use an app just to replace 10 sheets of paper 😉

Since I am a homeowner myself, I wouldn’t want to use paid software for that either. Excel is far too powerful for this purpose. But assuming the application is available for free, would that be an acceptable compromise?

You don’t even need Excel for that.
A document management system, calendar, or something similar is perfectly sufficient.
The waste collection service has its own free app that works great.
You could integrate all of this into a KNX visualization system, but I don’t have one.
