Hello everyone,

I have a load-bearing wall made of pumice blocks in the future bathroom, which tapers off at the end (red line in the attached sketch). The shower will be installed in the corner later, with tiles applied to the wall. Now, I would prefer not to keep this taper. What is the best way to eliminate this taper?

Should I build it up with concrete blocks or simply install drywall (plasterboard) over it?

Do you have any tips on what can be done?

Just hide it behind the drywall.

I would be very reluctant to install another stud wall in front of the sloped wall. That would cause even more loss of space...

You can also install the drywall directly without a stud frame using setting plaster, or simply apply it in several thick layers.

Isn't it possible to create the appearance of different colors? I mean, some kind of optical illusion?
