Hello,

I couldn’t find a direct answer using the search function.

Is it possible to install a sink in the Metod corner base cabinet (128x68 cm (50x27 inches)), or is there any reason not to?

And one more thing:
Instead of the “turntable” for pots, can I install a pull-out waste bin there?

Has anyone done something like this before?

PS
In the evening, I can upload a picture of what I have in mind.

Hello, there is no problem installing a sink in the corner cabinet, unless the connections are located in the corner and you have difficulty reaching them.

Installing a pull-out waste bin is possible. It is easiest with systems that are mounted on the floor.
From Ikea:

White metal stand with a square frame on top and a flat rectangular tray below.

However, it is located behind the door.

If the cabinet front is to be attached to the pull-out, there are alternatives from third-party suppliers.
If you want to use the Ikea system, some modification is necessary.

Hello kuki77,

If the sink with waste separation absolutely has to go in the corner, I would simply place a 60cm (24 inch) base cabinet for the sink at a 45-degree angle in the corner. Order the countertop accordingly from Personlig (or at the hardware store). This looks neat and makes it easier to access the sink. Waste separation is also less problematic since you don’t have to do as much “customizing.”

There are also nice sinks from third-party suppliers designed specifically for this corner solution.

A standard door designed for corner cabinets is simply screwed onto the Franke unit. There are other manufacturers as well. You will need to research all of them (Naber, Ninka, ...) and whether they are cheaper.
