Hello,
Has anyone here built a house without a basement on a slope? I would appreciate some pictures to get a better idea. We have an elevation difference of about 5 m (16 feet) from the street to the property boundary, which is approximately 25 m (82 feet) away, and the finished floor level (FFL) is planned to be 1.66 m (5.4 feet) above the street, with the garage 0.5 m (1.6 feet) lower.

Could it be that a house will be built right in front of your terrace? Are you worried about an L-shaped retaining wall landscaping like the neighbors of @Zaba12?https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

How are the neighbors planning their development?
If they build more into the slope, it will get expensive for you, really expensive. Building on a lot like this is never cheap anyway.
What does the development plan say? Are you even allowed to build like that?
I would move the house further back so you can have a nice front yard.
Downstairs residential basement with garden
Upstairs living spaces with garden
Rear wall of the basement on your side works better; the ground floor stabilizes the slope.
Did you plan with an independent architect or a general contractor?
To answer your initial question, yes, we do have a slope, no, we don’t have a traditional basement. And here @haydee is right—you will need to align your building plans with your neighbors in a residential area; going it alone is not an option in such cases. Just imagine if your neighbor builds a finished basement.
If you have neighbors who are also building new, make sure to coordinate with them.

I would never build without a basement again, unless on a completely flat lot. But then really spacious, including a cleaning service and an au pair :p

But the question about the slope direction will probably still be overlooked the third time around.
