Hello!

We are currently planning a single-family house (planned as a two-story building with a basement).

It is very important for us to protect the privacy of the parents’ area as much as possible. In other words, we don’t want to be able to hear everything that goes on in our teenage children’s rooms later on (and vice versa, of course).

How have you planned or implemented this so far?

and in between, a "soundproof wall".

Do you have separate entrances?!

The neighbors have an architect-designed house: a large open-plan kitchen and living area on the ground floor, with a flat-roof extension housing two children's bedrooms. An open hallway and staircase. On the upper floor: a centrally located living room (TV), with the parents' area, including an office and bathroom, behind it.

As an idea/suggestion for separation, but not done in the classic cube form.
