I would like to introduce our project.

Preferred heating system: air-to-water heat pump, possibly geothermal
If you have to give up, which details or additions
-can you do without?
-can you not do without? spacious kitchen and dining area
Why is the design as it is now?
It has been quite a long process since general floor plans commonly found in model homes and online, as well as standard building volumes and wishes, were not suitable for this plot. Initially, discussions took place with architect friends. They created the first sketches (see attachment; sketches aligned north) and gave important advice regarding orientation, etc.
Because of the slope, a basement is practical. It “faces” the street side, partially above ground. Neighbors often have their garages in the basement, so this was our initial idea as well, but it was abandoned due to the space needed for an office. The entrance will still be in the basement facing the street.
The photo roughly shows neighboring buildings; unfortunately, no plans are available that illustrate the development. Since the southern neighboring property is quite close and tall, our main orientation is planned towards the west (also offers better distant views).
The garage should be accessible on foot or serve as a terrace and be partly planted (cost factor?).
The ground floor should cantilever slightly over the basement (cost factor?) to create a structured façade (model photo).
My main concern is the ground floor layout.
What do you notice or what alternative suggestions do you have? How do you view the differences between the two designs?
We are quite open regarding the staircase design; the sketch shows a straight staircase, which, however, takes up more space.
The client would like a laundry chute—where could this be integrated?
Most of the windows and bathroom furnishings are placeholders, so please don’t put too much emphasis on them.
What is the most important/basic question about the floor plan in 130 characters?
Comments and further suggestions regarding the floor plan, especially for the ground floor. The basement and upper floor will be adjusted accordingly.
