Hi,

is there a supplier that offers doors for garages or side entrance doors as sliding doors? I know there are disadvantages regarding tightness, etc. However, structurally, it is probably not possible otherwise. The whole thing is intended as an access to a garage.

I have already searched but only found sliding doors for interior use. I would be surprised if there is really nothing suitable available...

White front door with glass window at the top and security sticker on the door.

Could something like this be a solution? Or maybe a smaller door, about 60cm (24 inches) wide?

No, unfortunately not. The only thing that would help is a narrower door... that’s correct.

Sliding doors are neither airtight nor burglar-proof. If you are aware of this and accept it, you can install a door in front of or behind the wall. It then serves mainly as a visual barrier. Still better than a carport.

Another option that comes to mind is a shutter or a narrow double-leaf patio door.
