First of all, a warm welcome.

I’m not very familiar with the exact terms, but try looking for tops for concealed valves.

Have you already paid the invoice? If not, that would be best—simply don’t pay and explain that the work has not been fully completed yet.

Otherwise, I would just visit the contractor’s place and ask, or perhaps firmly request, that they hand over the necessary parts so you can install them yourself.

I would suggest going to a specialized sanitary supply store – a DIY store is not the right place for this.

Apparently, posting here helped a bit... the plumber at least agreed to come over and install the things after all ;-)
Now it fits properly...
