Hello everyone,
due to the persistent joint issues with tiles, we want to use aluminum composite shower wall panels for the showers (actually three panels per shower).
Glass would also be nice, but probably a lot more expensive.
Now I wanted to ask what your experiences are with aluminum composite panels as shower walls? Can you recommend or not recommend certain manufacturers (due to quality issues)?
What needs to be considered regardless of the manufacturer? The joints around the panels will probably be sealed with sanitary silicone, right? Of course, after a few years, each silicone joint will need to be replaced.
Thank you very much for your experiences.

Also, the options for tiles and grout seem almost endless. What do you mean by that? Grout is grout, right? I guess it’s best to choose a dark color to prevent visible staining, isn’t it?

Any other material in the shower, such as glass or metal, requires more work and maintenance. We tiled with large-format tiles, 60x60cm (24x24 inches), with grout matching a natural stone look. It looks both classic and modern. I can definitely recommend it.
