It would be great if some of you could share pictures of your terraces. With so many options available, it can be difficult to make a decision.

What materials and colors did you choose, and why? What has your experience been like after 5 years or more? How large is your terrace? What did you pay for it? Have you incorporated any features such as umbrella stands, raised garden beds, or similar elements? Did you do the work yourselves? Do you know any reliable suppliers for materials that you would recommend? What would you do differently next time?

There are surely many other homeowners who would appreciate photos and tips. Thanks in advance!

Our umbrella keeps tipping over

Then choose a suitable anchoring system. For example, mine is rated for winds up to 60 km/h (37 mph).

Then I probably won’t be able to move it without help :P

Hehe, then nothing will fall over either. One more tip: choose a size large enough so you don’t have to move anything anymore.

Cool thread, we started working on the terrace on Wednesday. The defined area will be paved with 60x60 cm (24x24 inches) FSZ tiles (gray), while the driveway and paths will be surfaced with AKA 'Jena' bricks (gray/brown).

What shade of gray did you choose? We're facing the same question. The local hardware store offers Streetline 60x60 graphite. But I'm not sure if that might be too dark.

The one at the top in the picture.

Two gray concrete pavers lying on asphalt, fans on the right, foot visible on the left.

It’s simply called FSZ terrace slab gray-greige.

I will probably be able to show you the finished terrace around the middle of the week... at least I hope so.
