ᐅ Sealing the roller shutter casing: yes or no?

A quick question: when installing retrofit roller shutters that are mounted in front of the window and attached to it, do you also need to seal them? That is, around the roller shutter box (semi-cylindrical) and between the guide rails and the wall structure.
