I am planning to install some IKEA Metod kitchen cabinets at my home. Now I am wondering whether it is better to mount the cabinets using anchors or simply screws.
It is important to me that the attachment is stable and long-lasting, but also that the wall is protected and no undue stress occurs. My walls are made of brick, though the surface may be somewhat less sturdy in places, so I am unsure whether anchors are necessary or if screws alone are sufficient.
Does anyone have experience installing Metod cabinets and can explain when anchors are truly recommended and when screws can be safely used without anchors?
