Is it possible to cut plastic baseboards lengthwise without damaging them?
Reason: I need to align my U-shaped kitchen with a windowsill so that a 3cm (1¼ inch) stone can fit underneath. However, on the LEFT side, the floor rises slightly, so instead of 8cm (3¼ inches) of clearance between the floor and baseboard, I only have 7cm (2¾ inches). Because of this, the baseboards no longer fit.
I was planning to cut them lengthwise using a stop and a circular saw. Has anyone had experience with this?
Thank you!

I have already discussed with several people whether the baseboard can be cut to length. Most say no. There is a concern that it is very likely to chip when sawing, as it is made of plastic.
However, I could also imagine that it might be possible to cut it with a proper saw blade and careful, slow cutting. Unfortunately, I don’t know anyone who has tried this yet. But I’m sure there must be some who have.
I wanted to shorten it because, with Faktum kitchens, I often used the baseboards as filler strips, which is now unfortunately not so easy anymore.
