Hello,

what experiences do you have with trimming Hällestad countertops? Can the aluminum edge be cleanly reattached after cutting?

Hello Claus,
I ordered the ones in black (Personlig) back then.
However, the front is not aluminum but just a metallic effect. So... just regular edge banding that you can iron on.
If you look at the right corner in the picture

you can see that it was done very neatly.
So it all depends on your craftsmanship skills.

It has held up perfectly so far.
Regards, robi
P.S. On the opposite side, I had to cut a standard Hällestad board and also applied the edge banding on the side. No problem. Looks great and holds... (so far)

At HÄLLESTAD, the pieces are glued together rather than ironed on. You need to obtain the appropriate adhesive from another source.
