Hello,

I am new here and hoping to get some advice regarding shadow gaps. We have finished the substructure for the suspended ceiling and are trying to figure out the best angle at which to order the LED profile in order to achieve optimal lighting. Additionally, we would like to know if 1000 lumens and a distance of 15 cm (6 inches) from the wall are sufficient to create the effect shown in the following picture. Our bathroom has a very similar layout (300 x 130 cm (118 x 51 inches)) and the tiles are almost identical (mostly dark). I want the light from the shadow gap to provide enough general illumination. In other words, it shouldn’t just be a decorative effect; the room should be bright enough for normal use in the bathroom. Two spotlights and an illuminated mirror will also be installed.

So, to summarize:

1) What beam angle is recommended?
2) What distance between the ceiling and the wall?
3) Is 1000 lm/m adequate?

Thank you very much in advance!
