Hello dear home building community,
we have completed our house construction and are about to move in. Now my electrician asked me how I want to program my roller blinds and shading in general. The floor plan is very open with lots of window area, and the house faces south.
How have you handled this? Are there any tables or guidelines on how to program this for summer and winter?
Thank you in advance for your input.
Regards,
Matthias

How do you handle this? TV with KNX?Complete media control and visualization including KNX via Control4. This way, I have the status of every media device in the house and can manage it effectively. Media control through KNX modules and gateways (e.g., the ISE gateways) becomes more than cumbersome once it reaches a certain scale.untergasse43 schrieb:

My presence detector in the living room has an IR receiver (Merten 630919). My Logitech Harmony sends an IR command when turning on the TV, which the presence detector interprets as "TV On" and sends this status to the bus.
As a result, the presence detector locks the lighting and the blinds go down.
When the TV is turned off, the process runs in reverse: an IR command is sent to the presence detector. The lighting is unlocked, the blinds go up, unless shading is needed—in that case, shading is activated.

switched socket But then I would have to go to the switch or use the visualization every time. Just like with a scene (which is how I have it).
I found it interesting that turning on the TV (remote control) is detected by the system and it automatically activates the "TV scene." It seems this works via Control4 – exciting – let's see...

I found it interesting that you can turn on the TV (with the remote), and the system recognizes it and automatically sets the "TV scene." Seems to work via Control4 – interesting – let’s see...It works exactly like that. I just press "AppleTV," and the system does the rest. Alternatively, you can also detect whether the TV is on by using a switched outlet with power measurement and then trigger further actions based on that status. There are many ways to achieve this, some more elegant than others.
