Hello,
maybe I can get some tips here on how to make a large living room cozy?
It measures 6 by 5 meters (20 by 16 feet), so it has a fairly square layout.
There is only a window wall along one side, and on the opposite side there is a door, but rather towards the corner.
A dining area is not an option because there is a separate dining room.
At first, I thought about a reading corner, but if someone watches TV at the same time, it bothers me.
Do you have any ideas?
Best regards, Gerda

I really like large rooms because everyone can find their own space. For me, it is important that the living comfort is maintained. In such rooms, I can also accommodate large furniture. I also appreciate small, individual living areas. This could be a reading nook or just a couch for relaxing.

We divided our living room into different areas using room dividers. You can also do this with plants, sideboards, etc. There is a reading and play corner for the children, a wooden table for relaxing with a nice view, either with guests or alone with a laptop, a TV corner with a large sofa, and many books that give the living space a cozy atmosphere. Curtains and rugs are also highly recommended for large rooms, as they add warmth.

Serena1990-122 Apr 2015 10:58I am currently in the process of redecorating our living room. I have already read some suggestions here. It is important to me to have both a TV area and a reading corner. Often, one person wants to watch TV while the other prefers to read. I also like the idea of separating these spaces with room dividers.

Urs1988-131 May 2015 06:18We have clearly defined our large living area as well. We placed a bookshelf as a room divider. The advantage is that it can be accessed from both sides. On one side, there is a cozy corner, and on the other side, desks and the sound system.
Of course, music is listened to with headphones.
