Hello everyone,

I am currently looking into the topic of lighting. I’m not able to create a proper lighting plan myself; the electrician does it, but they focus more on practical aspects.

I believe that good lighting design greatly enhances living quality, while poor lighting can really spoil it.

Does anyone here have experience with a professional lighting designer? Or does anyone know of an online service?

My first inquiry at a large lighting specialty store resulted in a price of €9 per square meter (approx. $9.70 per square meter).

Best regards from Franconia!

Hi, unfortunately I can’t send private messages, and since advertising is not allowed here, I don’t want to post it openly. However, if you send me something so I can reply, I’ll be happy to help you.

You’ll get a private message shortly 🙂

“Lighting designer” is a buzzword for me; we discussed this extensively here with R.Hotzenplotz. Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon to receive nothing more than a shopping list of recommended lamp types sketched onto a floor plan. There are many charlatans in this field, and the best way to find a reputable professional is usually through recommendations. I would plan to spend some time researching their references.

That’s exactly why I’m asking here. I don’t have 100 people in my circle of acquaintances who have built a house, and the homeowners I know planned the electrical installations themselves or with an electrician (and the results reflect that).

I would like to join this discussion. I am currently facing the same issue. We want to have a single-family house and the garden planned.

@Katdreas: Have you made any progress with your planning, or what is your current status?
