Hi!

Has anyone here installed a separate water meter for their garden irrigation to save on wastewater charges? It’s not free, of course; I’m curious whether it’s actually cost-effective.

50€.
It depends entirely on whether the water supplier accepts this.

The city advertises this on its website, and usually, I understand that the water supplier is predetermined locally.

So, only a one-time fee and nothing else? I had thought there would be monthly charges as well.

That depends on your water supplier.

No. The meter is usually privately owned and it typically needs to be calibrated.
If the utility company accepts it, it can be reinstalled after one year. Plan the outdoor water tap so that the meter can also be installed.

I’ll join in here, same question. Do you really use enough water for the meter to be worthwhile? Do you have any figures on that, Alex?
