Hello, we want to operate a water pump together with our neighbors (using a shared well) and are considering how to separate the electricity costs. Are there electricity meters with a "switching" function? In other words, if the neighbor uses the pump, it switches to their meter; if we use the pump, it switches to our meter. Thanks for any tips. (It doesn't have to be a certified meter—just for internal use.)

What is the pump's power consumption? It will never come close to the installation costs, especially if it is only intended for garden irrigation.

The pump has a power output of about 1300 watts. Now I need to calculate... what is the current cost per kilowatt-hour? How much time does a garden irrigation usually take?

I just did a rough calculation... it doesn’t seem like larger amounts will add up... unless you let the pump run all night regularly ;-)

Everything is correct so far, but peace is maintained, and in the end, that is more important than the money saved.
