ᐅ Senso cast floor – Does anyone have experience with it?

Hello everyone,
we are considering using the cast flooring from Senso. We really like the look and feel of the floor. However, we are interested in everyday experiences, especially regarding its sensitivity.

Additionally, we want to have the bathrooms, including the walls, done by Senso. If anyone has this: Is it really as low-maintenance as promised? Have there been any issues with waterproofing?

Thank you very much!

We have never replaced it before 😉

As mentioned earlier, you can probably sand down the entire top layer and have it redone. Or maybe even sand it all the way through. The whole floor is only 5mm (0.2 inches) thick, if I remember correctly – if you wanted to have hardwood flooring, that would probably be an issue...

@DaHias81 That sounds great! We also chose BCrete for the ground floor.
I’m really curious since none of the people involved here know it either... Upstairs, it will only be in the bathroom; the rest will be hardwood flooring, so I’m interested to see how the coordination goes.

Do you have baseboards, or did you skip them? Was the floor covered afterward for the kitchen installation and the other trades?

We have baseboards. They do advertise that you can install them all the way to the wall and just seal the gap from the insulation strip, but everyone from Senso we spoke to, who also have children themselves, recommended using baseboards 🙂

Yes, we lived with protective fleece in several areas for a few weeks until everything was finished. 😉
But I have to say, the floor is probably no more sensitive than parquet flooring (I think).

It’s the same for us, although our children are older now and my husband would prefer to go without. However, I am concerned about the vacuum cleaner brush potentially leaving marks without a skirting board, if you’re not careful.

That seems to be exactly the case – it always eventually turns gray.
