Hello everyone,
Today I installed my new SÄNDA track system on the wall, connected it, and hung a lamp on it – but it’s dark!
I used a BASISK lamp and mounted it on the adapter.
I connected the track system directly to my power supply using the ceiling connection.
There shouldn’t be much that can go wrong, right?!
What did I forget? Has anyone assembled this before?
Thanks,
Fumanchu

Hello Fumanchu,
have you solved the problem?
I am planning exactly the same thing:
114cm (45 inches) SÄNDA rail with Sända ceiling power connection and Sända adapter, with 2x Basisk pendant lamps 22cm (9 inches) attached.
I would prefer not to drill into the drywall ceiling if it doesn’t work...
Best regards,
ellen

Haselmaus2719 Jul 2013 21:34Hello everyone,
have you managed to solve the problem by now? I am facing a similar issue – no light.
I installed two tracks at a right angle, with lightweight pendant LERAN lights (including LED bulbs) connected via an adapter, powered through a power cord.
One track does not have a light or need one. Only the second track has a pendant light attached.
I noticed two things:
1. The adapter has space for three wires (live, neutral, and an additional wire in between). However, the pendant light only has two wires (brown/live and blue/neutral). I connected the wires according to their labels. Should I possibly connect the wires differently?
2. Each track contains a rectangular plastic piece about 15cm (6 inches) long that I cannot remove. Could this possibly interrupt the power flow? This piece cannot be removed and is not mentioned in the instructions at all.
Thank you very much for your replies and any clarification...
In the meantime, I have filed a complaint with Ikea. I would rather not call an electrician for this...

Juliette W9 Jan 2017 21:39This thread clearly shows how great it would be if some people not only asked for help but also offered it sometimes. Or have the various questioners over the years just thrown away or returned their fixtures? Even that they could have mentioned.
Good luck, Ikeanik.
