Hello,
I am new here and would like to ask if someone can explain whether it is possible to divide a semi-detached house into multiple residential units? Where is it regulated if this is allowed? What would be the procedure?
Thank you and best regards

My brother and I have built two semi-detached houses, each with two residential units (so 4 apartments total), on TWO separate plots. Really, two plots? Wasn't the utility room as a shared entrance area located in the central axis?

The utility room is also split in the middle, and all technical installations are completely separate (heat pump, controlled mechanical ventilation, etc.).i_b_n_a_n schrieb:

Gladly! I would be happy about that and it might help others as well. Here you go – I have left out the attic. You can see into the utility rooms from the concrete slab of the main house, which has not yet been erected:https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

That’s something investors also do in my area’s development zone. This results in what appears to be a four-story building nearly 12 meters (39 feet) high on a multi-family plot with only two actual floors. No eave height was specified, so the ground floor is essentially a garage and stairwell (less than 2.2 meters (7 feet) high), with two full floors above and a recessed penthouse level on one side. The neighbors in their single-family homes are thrilled. But smart planning pays off. On a 680 square meter (7,325 square feet) lot, they managed to build 5 apartments ranging from 70 to 130 square meters (750 to 1,400 square feet).
