Hello, we are planning to build a single-family house on our own......
Planned size 150 sqm (1,615 sq ft) without a basement, gable roof with raised knee wall.
To achieve KfW 55 standard, my understanding is that a U-value of 0.20 is required. How can I most cost-effectively achieve this with a single-layer wall of 365mm (14 inches) thickness? Noise protection can largely be neglected.

The house will be approximately 11 x 9 meters (36 x 30 feet) external dimensions, without bay windows or similar. The roof shape is not decided yet, either a shed roof or a gable roof.
The following work will be done as self-labor: foundation slab, masonry, electrical installation, windows, roof insulation and interior cladding, ceilings... so quite a lot. Can I manage this with 210,000 euros?
