Hello,

We want to add a second bathroom in our basement laundry room because having just one toilet/shower is becoming a bit tight over time. I am currently looking for a suitable macerator pump system for this bathroom.

Requirements:
- Connected fixtures: washbasin and toilet (if possible also washing machine and shower, but not mandatory)
- Lift height 1-2 meters (3-7 feet)
- The pump system should fit behind a stud wall installation that is no deeper than 15-20 cm (6-8 inches). (Width 60 cm (24 inches), height 80 cm (31 inches) possible)

I have already done some research and initially considered the Sanipack Up Pro (item number: 0017UP). However, I have concerns that the macerator might require frequent maintenance. Therefore, I thought a free-flow pump system (without a macerator, e.g., Wilo Drainlift S) would be a better and maintenance-free choice. Unfortunately, so far I have not found any free-flow pump system that fits into my stud wall installation (<20 cm (8 inches)).

So, I have the following questions for you:
- Is a free-flow pump system really more suitable for my situation, or is a good macerator system sufficient?
- Which manufacturers and models can you recommend that meet the above requirements (especially the dimensions)? (both with macerator and free-flow)

Thank you in advance for your experiences and advice.
Best regards,
Scharlie
