Dear Building Forum,

We have been ranked 19th in the points system (out of more than 40 building plots total).
In two weeks, we have the appointment where we can choose our building plot (from those available at that time).
The community's letter advises that we should pre-select 19 potential building plots, so that in the worst case, we still receive one of them.

Unfortunately, we find it very difficult to identify good or less optimal locations on the site plan.
Also, the slope of up to 1.5m (5 feet) depending on the plot (if I understand it correctly) makes it hard for us to imagine its impact on the future house.

I have created two conceptual categories:
N/E Development = Plots 16–18 + 25–27 + 31 + 38 + 45
S/W Terrace possible without N/E Development = Plots 8–9 + 11–13 + 15

Plot size of about 550 sqm (6,000 sq ft) would be our preference.

Which plots would you favor and what are the respective pros and cons?

I look forward to your feedback.

Best regards,
Limbrandi

Unfortunately, and this is quite unfortunate, you have not yet understood several essential points:

You selected both image sections in a way that cuts off crucial information – we cannot advise you properly like this!
Please show the two usage templates clearly; we cannot compare them if they are mutilated like this.
In the "bauplatz" image, contour lines are visible, which in the "bauplatz_" image are covered by the colored lines.
These lines are critical for determining where the left and right usage templates apply.
Also, only in the "bauplatz" image—though faintly—are elevation lines visible.

Please indicate for which plots the left and right templates apply, and which elevation line is closest to the center of the respective plot as well as to the neighboring plot on the left or right. Keep in mind...

...this is not just your private decision. Should I remind you monthly of my basement formula?
(Don’t forget: this is practically a “law of nature,” I just formulated it.)

Sorry, this was not thought through carefully. PDF will follow.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t want to upload the .pdf.
I tried splitting it up again and making the parts larger (attached).

Ah yes, that makes things much clearer:
1) The difference in the usage templates seems to be only that properties over 500 sqm (approx. 5,400 sq ft) allow only single-family houses, while those under that size also permit semi-detached houses.
2) The most attractive plots appear to be numbers 6, 7, 15, and 16 (ED), as well as 10 and 11 (E).

Thank you for the evaluation.
We would like to understand why exactly these smaller ones are more attractive.

I don’t understand the question: in what way "smaller" – which sizes do you have in mind?

We weren’t thinking of a size under 450 sqm (4,843 sq ft) since there’s no basement, but also not larger than about 600 sqm (6,458 sq ft). There are still a few corner plots that fall within that range.

How does the terrace orientation work with numbers 10 and 11 (actually good sizes)?
