Hello,
we are currently planning our kitchen, and most things are more or less decided. However, we are still discussing one topic in more detail, which is the seating arrangement directly at the kitchen island.
Our layout: a kitchen run along the wall, a kitchen island, and then the dining table (all in one room of about 40 m2 (430 sq ft)). I’m interested to know if anyone else has this layout and if you included seating (bar stools/counter seating) at the kitchen island, and what your experiences have been. Would you do it the same way again, or would you skip it next time due to low usage? We suspect it might not be necessary since the dining table is right there anyway, and somehow a straight kitchen island just looks better...
Best regards

The counter looks great. Your gray tiles are nice, they have a matte finish, right? Thanks, Sabine. Yes, they are matte. They have a kind of concrete look.
Back then, we had the three sample tiles that were shortlisted placed directly on the construction site’s bare floor, and we walked over them with dusty work boots. We chose the one where the dust was the least visible.

May I ask which tiles these exactly are and how much you paid for them? What size are they? Thanks in advance. Although we are slightly off-topic now: these are the Cementina anthracite tiles from RAK Ceramics
