I am considering whether to install a downdraft extractor integrated into the cooktop or a ceiling-mounted extractor hood.
The situation is as follows:
The cooktop is on an island.
The room height is approximately 2.75m (9 feet).
What would be the best solution in this case?

Ideally, I would like a 90 cm (35 inch) cooktop from Neff with a ceiling-mounted hood above it.
However, I can't find anything affordable with a width of 120 cm (47 inches), and my high ceiling makes me a bit concerned about whether the hood can be installed low enough.

Paying 3000€ is too expensive for me. For a SIEMENS model, you pay about half that. And our cooktop with extractor – in use now for 3 1/2 years – is doing a good job.
