Hello everyone,

we are currently looking for dining chairs and had almost found something suitable. There was nothing decent on classified ads in the last four weeks. Now we have our eye on the Silas chair with upholstery from the Danish furniture store and the New Oak table.
We were about to buy them, but the local store didn’t have the chair in stock, and I wanted to order it online – unfortunately, the table is not available online in 1.80 m (6 feet) length.
That would mean we probably have to visit the store again and place the order there.
Then I thought I’d take the opportunity to ask here if you might have any other recommendations.
We are not very happy with our Ikea chairs because the seat panel cannot be screwed in and many chairs have become wobbly by now – the black chairs also tend to leave marks if you bump into something.

Thanks for your feedback.

Regardless of personal taste in color and material, I have always found chairs of this "design" quite uncomfortable and never understood why apparently everyone seems to have them. They usually look stylish due to the high backrest, but the seating comfort (which is actually what chairs are about, right?) is really poor.

Some friends of ours recently bought chairs of this type, which I personally find extremely comfortable:

Brown leather armchair with black metal frame, padded backrest and seat.

I use the home24 app, which I like to browse for inspiration and to see what’s available on the market. It also offers good filters and a bookmarking feature without requiring a login. Other tips from me probably wouldn’t be helpful to you since we prefer a different style than yours.

May I ask where you got the picture from? We are looking for something exactly like that!

The model is called "Basie" (yes, without a c at the end) and the manufacturer is "Livior," found on rakuten. Otherwise, just try searching for "swing chair dining room" on Google.

Well, okay, a chair costs about as much as a table does here.
