Hello, we are currently working on the roof insulation and have a few questions that you might be able to help us with.
We have a gable roof and are insulating up to the ridge as well as the upper floor ceiling, all with Isover insulation wool. For the upper floor, we are also using a Vario Klima membrane.
Now the question: since we are insulating the attic as well, but won’t be using it, I originally planned to use only a foil to prevent the insulation wool from falling out of the rafters over the years. What would be the best material to use for this?
Since the bedrooms are located in the attic, we installed a small toilet there, unfortunately without a window. As I do not have any ventilation bricks available, I cannot run a fan vent through the roof. Are there toilet exhaust fans that can be ducted into the attic but will not allow moisture to pass through? Or is there another solution?
