Hello everyone,

I have a question. Our interior window sills have now been installed.

There was no sealing done between the window sill and the window using silicone or acrylic. Does this need to be sealed? If yes, with what? Should white silicone or acrylic be used? Does this affect airtightness and the blower door test?

Thank you very much

Hello Skyfire,
the windowsill does not necessarily need to be sealed. However, if there is a small gap where cleaning water or similar could enter, silicone would be the right choice.
The airtightness is achieved through the proper installation of the window. The windowsill is installed afterwards and does not affect the blower door test.
