Gerd53The basement is over 25 years old and in very good condition.
There is a hairline crack, a dark stain, and a yellow stain on one wall, as shown in the photo. I dabbed the area with kitchen paper, and no moisture was detected on the paper.

The waterproof concrete structure (white tank) is about 30 cm (12 inches) thick.
For scale: The tile visible in the photo is 33 cm (13 inches).
Should the hairline crack be repaired?

Trasher1923 Mar 2018 09:55I would definitely have a professional waterproofing company take a look at this. The yellow areas are likely salt deposits, which definitely indicate a leak that has been present for some time. At first glance, the black area even looks like mold or mildew.
