Today, I heard for the first time about gold sand used in screed. A small amount of gold dust is mixed into regular sand, which is said to significantly improve heat distribution in the screed. The additional cost is quite reasonable; for around 160 m² (1,722 sq ft), the extra expense is about 400 euros.

I’m rather skeptical about this and wanted to ask if any of you have heard of it before or have more information. Specifically, I’m interested in whether there is a noticeable difference compared to regular screed when using underfloor heating.

It only makes sense if you transfer 500 euros to me each month; then I can tell the oracle to keep the heat in the screed.

No, seriously: forget that nonsense and invest the 400 euros in something more worthwhile.

We simply had the loops installed closer together. It costs a few extra euros, but it’s definitely worth it.

This is how we would have received the heating loops if we had stayed with our original general contractor:

And this is how we got them from our plumbing contractor when managing the work ourselves:

There’s a big difference.

It might be possible to get this on request from some general contractors, but they likely charge significantly more for those extra few hundred meters of heating loops.

Best regards,
Michael

Back then, instead of concrete blocks, I had gold bars installed.

The advantage is that you can now truly speak of "concrete gold," and the house is immediately more valuable.

The disadvantage is that if the price of gold falls, it can be difficult to sell the house.

We have a water softening system with a crystal-modified vital layer. Additionally, the tap water is energetically enhanced as it flows through an activation chamber.

Due to space constraints, it is being given away. Asking price 2890 euros negotiable.

No thanks, that won’t work with my gold-plated faucets including diamond filter at the outlet ...
