Good evening,

Our screed will be installed soon. We were told that about 1.5 weeks later, our heating system will be installed.
I am just a bit surprised because I thought the underfloor heating is usually switched on immediately after the screed is poured.
Is it normal that it is only connected so late for the drying process?

Thank you very much for your answers!

In the past, there was no underfloor heating, but the houses had the same screed. It dried out somehow anyway...

That means: Yes, it’s all no problem.

Thank you!
I heard— not from a professional, just in a casual conversation with someone— that the pipes of the underfloor heating system need to be pressurized while the screed is drying; otherwise, they could get crushed or something like that.
Is that true?

Yes, but that has nothing to do with the timing of the installation of the heating system/heat generator.

Ok, then that was a misunderstanding on my part.
Thanks again!
