What does that have to do with it? Or do you want to have your door stolen?!No, why:
The XXX construction all-risk insurance covers the following damages and losses throughout the entire construction period:
- Damages caused by craftsmen or contractors on the site, or resulting from design, material, or workmanship defects; damage caused by natural events such as severe weather; or damage negligently, maliciously, or intentionally caused by third parties, for example vandalism.
- Damage and destruction to all construction work, components, and building materials intended for residential use. This also includes fixtures that are permanently installed.
- Your construction all-risk insurance also covers theft of materials that are permanently attached to the building and glass breakage, as long as the glass has not yet been fully installed. The insurance covers the costs of restoration and necessary cleanup.

I would be interested to see the terms and conditions from Allianz to know if they pay out when building is done with a general contractor and not with an architect.
As far as I know, the risk lies with the construction company if damage occurs due to the trades involved.
The client receives a defect-free house. If defects are present, the site manager must ensure the defect is remedied.
If a defect is discovered later by the client, it probably has to be proven that this defect was caused by the trades and not only occurred afterwards.
You can’t just look up a premium rate online; it only mentions consultations.
If you have the insurance, I would be interested in how much you pay.
Hello,
no, I did not take out the insurance with Allianz; however, with another provider.
The insurance cost ranges between 300-800€ (about 320-850 USD) as a one-time payment for 2 years. The coverage amount naturally depends on the construction volume!
Best regards, Barossi

Damages They need to be clearly defined! A layperson would say that the scratched door is a loss. Get rid of it, replace it. All in all, at least 5,000 euros, often more. Essentially, no upper limit. But the insurance company, the contractor, the developer, the general contractor, and this forum all say: The damage is 250 euros (see #4, #5, and #6). So what good is insurance to you?
(A new car buyer wouldn’t accept such a scratch. In that sense, building a house is something special.)
