Hello everyone!

We have a quote from Schwörerhaus for just under €200,000 (automatic ventilation, nothing else included). The building consultant mentioned that an additional cost of €27,000 for the foundation slab will be added.

Our bungalow is relatively small, about 80m² (860 sq ft), and online research showed foundation slab costs of around €170/m² (approximately $16/sq ft), which is only about half of that.

Then I saw the current model homes from Schwörerhaus. There is a bungalow with about 86m² (925 sq ft) of living space that includes the foundation slab for only €151,000!

What do you think? Is the price for the foundation slab too high? What costs should be expected? Is the online figure of €170/m² a reasonable guideline?

We have just paid 17,000 euros for the foundation slab for about 80 m² (860 sq ft) in a KfW 40 house.

Did that also include earthworks and such? Ours is a KFW 55 house.

How much earthwork is still required?

Are the connections for electricity, water, and telephone included in the costs? Or are those extra?

What is the level compared to the street?

We also built with Schwörerhaus! For the foundation slab, a local company handled the work, but this was clear from the start and was specified by Schwörerhaus. We were able to choose from three different offers. This tender included all earthworks, sewer connections, and so on.

Where are you building? I can’t see that in the mobile version!
