Dear forum community,
what are the reasons against installing a satellite dish on the chimney?
I have a two-flue chimney of the brand Ahrens, with flue sizes of 14cm (5.5 inches) and 18cm (7 inches), although I don’t even need the 14cm (5.5 inches) flue part (heat pump).
Usually, the chimney inspector prohibits attaching anything to the chimney if it is still in use because of wind load and other factors. Just ask your chimney inspector.
What are the downsides of a (roof) rafter bracket? Roughly speaking, it costs about a hundred, and you have the entire setup securely mounted on the roof.
To be honest, I wouldn’t attach it to the chimney either.
