ᐅ Sanding Veneered Door Frames / Door Jambs?

Hello,
I have door frames from 1985 in my apartment that are made of veneered particle board and are unfortunately a bit worn. Is it possible to carefully sand such veneer, for example with 180-grit sandpaper and an orbital sander? There are six frames in total, so I cannot sand them all by hand.

No, that will sand through. A careful range would be 300-600.
