a quick question for those of you who have already completed building your house. Was there a moment when you thought, "Oh no, what did we actually choose here? This doesn’t look at all like we imagined it would?"
We are currently having some doubts about the tiles in the hallway. Maybe that will change after the painter has finished and the furniture, especially the staircase, is in place.
How was it for you?
Best regards
Herr Stein

I’m going to join this discussion here.

"I also want anthracite-colored windows on the inside!" I think that’s cool, and it’s a pity we have white on the inside.
So far, we have only made minor changes during the construction phase.
This is also because we spent over a year planning meticulously, and we are managing the project through direct contracts.
You need to reach the point where you say to yourself, “Now it’s right.”
Only issues that arise during construction which do not align with the original plan should be addressed again.
While 100% is the goal, it is practically unattainable. There is a thread in this forum where someone is attempting this. I’m curious to see how it turns out.

With our first house, we made some decisions too quickly, partly because the developer pressured us. The bathroom tiles we chose didn’t really appeal to us afterwards, especially since the plastic trim didn’t match in color. That’s why we are taking much more time with the new house and are finding some decisions genuinely difficult.
