Unfortunately, I couldn't find a suitable topic. Let's assume a house has 2 floors: ground floor and upper floor. What disadvantages are there, apart from costs, if the bathroom is not located directly above the utility room? For example, if it is two rooms further away.

And since "Child 3" is larger than the "Bathroom," you want to carve that off as a storage space? Without a dormer, you wouldn’t have standing height all the way to the eaves.

I don’t want to carve anything off. The layout in the bathroom would then be similar to Kiefernallee – option 1.

Exactly, there is a storage space behind the stove, so even a person two meters (6 feet 7 inches) tall can stand up there without hitting their head.

Then it fits perfectly.

I would primarily adapt the rooms to the plot and orientation. Usually, the bathrooms are located on the cooler north side, while the living areas face the sunny south or west.

It is advantageous for bathrooms, including toilets, to be more or less stacked on top of each other. The utility room is often placed at the front of the house, near the street, due to the supply connections.

Could you please enlighten me about the process behind your change of mind regarding the multi-story building?
